How to Use Rustic Interior Design Style in Your Salon

Rustic Salon Design

Rustic design is a timeless style known for being simplistic, warm, and inviting with primitive furnishings and an overall refined elegance that is far from being stuffy. Rustic is not concerned with perfect lines as interiors are primarily influenced by natural surroundings and draw the outdoors in with an aesthetically pleasing mixture of weathered finishes and rough, worn-in textures. Décor is generally kept at a minimum, as rustic design values simplicity and functionality over a show of beauty. Think quality over quantity. From iron accents to knotted woods, a relaxing atmosphere is created by highlighting the natural beauty of each piece.

To give an approachable and comfortable vibe—monochrome and muted neutral shades are what rustic is all about. Expect to see earthy colors and warm-toned neutrals such as white, cream, black, brown, beige, and gray paired with finishes such as exposed brick, wood, stone, soft woolen textures, worn-in leather, canvas, burlap, metal, and concrete are common to rustic interiors.
